Launch of the “NEXEM Ecology Relay,” Which Reduces Silver Consumption in Contacts by Approximately 40 Percent
EM Device Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Takeharu Aoki; Headquarters: Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture) has begun sales of the “NEXEM Ecology Relay,” which reduces the amount of silver used in its contacts by approximately 40% compared to the company’s current standard products while maintaining equivalent performance and design compatibility.
Product Overview
EX Series
“NEXEM Ecology Relay”
Product Name EX1/EX2 Contact Rating 25A-14Vdc(Motor load) Maximum Switching Current 60A ON / 30A OFF Electrical Life 100,000cycles(Rated load) Ambient Temperature −40 〜 125 ℃ Insulation Resistance 100 MΩ min.(500Vdc)
The “NEXEM Ecology Relay” maintains contact reliability and electrical conductivity through optimized contact structures and new processing technologies.
By standardizing terminal layout and recommended PCB lands with current standard products, we have enabled a smooth transition that leverages existing PCB designs.
Please note that compatibility must be verified on a part-number-by-part-number basis.
The EX2 and EX1 series are already in mass production, and we are gradually expanding the range of applicable part numbers. We also plan to roll out the EM1, HX1, and EU2/EU1 series in phases.
